Low Cost Beauvais Airport Parking
The car parking areas are located on the long road leading up to Beauvais Airport. They will be seen on your left hand side when driving to the airport, and there are signs indicating directions to the parking areas from this road. The drop-off area for passengers is in front of the airport terminal, and can be accessed by continuing to drive on this road, and not turning off to any of the other parking areas.
Beauvais Airport has three parking areas, named P1, P2 and P3, and they are within walking distance to the airport terminal. The P1 and P3 parking areas are located across from each other and are accessed from the road that leads to the parking area P2. These are mainly used for short-term parking.
P2 is the furthest parking area from Beauvais Airport and can be used for longer periods of parking. The parking at P2 is limited to 1000 spaces.
None of the parking areas provide under-cover parking, they are all open-air areas. There are no security guards that patrol these areas, only video monitoring. All the car parking areas at Beauvais Airport are self-service, as there are no valet parking options available.
You may notice that some people don’t use the dedicated parking area, and park on the nearby roads and fields. This may not be legal and these passengers do so at their own risk.
Car parks P1 and P2 have the same parking tariffs. Different parking tariffs are charged for less than 30 minutes, 30 minutes to 1 hour, 1 to 2 hours, 2 to 6 hours and 6 to 24 hours. Thereafter, they are charged at a fixed rate for 2 days, 3 days, 4 days and 5 days. From the 6th day onwards, the 5 day parking tariff is charged, plus a low per day fee for each day of parking.
To give you an idea of the rates charged for parking, car parks P1 and P3 are 19 Euros for parking of 6 – 24 hours and a fixed rate of 48 Euros for 5 days. After the 6th day, it is 48 Euros plus 5 Euros per day. Car Park P2 has slightly cheaper rates of 16 Euros for 6 – 24 hours and 38 Euros for 5 days. After the 6th day, P2 is 38 Euros plus 5 Euros per day.
Payment details are posted at the entry to the car parks. If you accidentally lose your parking ticket, you may be required to pay a lump sum of 150 Euros, therefore look after your ticket well. Parking payments are made in car park P1 at the ticket machines. They are signposted as ‘Parking Caisse Automatique’.
Over the past few years, Beauvais Airport has expanded with many more flight routes offered and an increased number of arrivals and departures each day. Though there are now many more passengers making use of this airport, the parking facilities have not been increased in keeping with this expansion. Often passengers driving to Beauvais Airport find that the parking areas are almost or completely full.
To avoid any parking difficulties, other means of transportation can be used to get to the airport. There are shuttle buses that operate from Beauvais and Paris with a shuttle stop at the airport. Taxi services are also frequently used by passengers. There is no train station at the airport, but travelers can get close to the airport by using the Beauvais train station. A taxi/bus will then be needed for the drive from the station to the airport. The other option would be for a friend to drop you off at the airport.
There are no hotels on the airport property, but there are many in the near vicinity. It may be convenient to spend the night before your early departure at a hotel close to the airport. The City Hotel is the closest at only a mile away. Other hotels include the Hotel Chenal, Mercure Beauvais, Campanile Hotel Beauvais and the Kyriad Hotel Beauvais. A taxi can then be booked for transport to the airport to avoid any parking difficulties.
Keep in mind that Beauvais Airport is only open between the hours of 6:30am and 11:30pm, and the car park is unattended. Cars are parked at the risk of the owner, and the airport cannot be held responsible for any damages to the vehicles.
Make sure that you leave your vehicle as safe as possible. Activate the alarm system (if your car has one) and ensure that all the doors are locked. As with parking in any other area, it is advisable not to leave any valuables in your car.
